ASEAN Cableship Prize 2026
Awarded to graduates of the National University of Singapore (NUS) Master of Science (Maritime Technology and Management) programme who have demonstrated excellence in their academic studies, the ASEAN Cableship Prize 2026 is proudly presented to Xia Xiaorui.
Reflecting on this achievement, Xia Xiaorui shared, “I am truly honoured to receive the ASEAN Cableship Prize this year. To be supported by an organization that connects the world through critical cable infrastructure is incredibly inspiring as I chart my own course in this field. When I first entered the maritime field, I saw ports, shipping, regulations and technology as separate pieces of a complex industry. Through my studies at NUS, I gradually learned to see beyond individual components and understand maritime as an interconnected ecosystem. Thinking vertically and horizontally has become a valuable perspective for me, helping me explore deeper while connecting ideas across different areas.
“I believe the future of maritime will be shaped not by a single solution, but by how we connect knowledge, people and innovation to address shared challenges. This belief has strengthened my appreciation of maritime stewardship and the responsibility we carry in shaping the industry we are part of. I sincerely thank ASEAN Cableship Pte Ltd (ACPL) and NUS for this honour. This award inspires me to stay curious, keep learning, and contribute with purpose. I hope to be part of a maritime future that is more connected, more sustainable, and more meaningful for generations to come.”
Congratulations to Xia Xiaorui on this well-deserved achievement!
